ACW BLUE PRINT
WINTER CLASSES- 2009
The ACW Blue Print Reading Classes will begin FEBRUARY 26, 2009 and run through APRIL 2, 2009. They will be held at the AGC Office Building, located at 3306 Ragsdale Ave, Knoxville. (Ragsdale is one block south of Middlebrook Pike and Liberty Ave) The classes will be held each Thursday night for six (6) consecutive weeks running from 6-9 PM. Two classes are offered, introductory Blue Print and Advanced Blue Print. The instructors are from McCarty, Holsaple, McCarty and all materials and books are furnished for the students.
The classes are open to all interested men and women and are particularly suited for those in the construction industry. The basic course covers introduction to terms in prints as well as solutions to math problems frequently encountered when reading construction documents. The advanced course covers details and the various disciplines routine in building construction, such as mechanical, electrical, and structural systems.
The courses are designed to give the maximum amount of information in the shortest amount of time to those employed to build or bid from blue prints in the construction field. Subcontractors and those who work for them would also find great benefit from these courses.
